Background

Ivy's my daughter.

At 13 months of age, she was taken to NZ and subsequently illegally retained there. Following the court proceedings, Ivy and her mother returned to the UK. At the current time of writing, organising the illegal retention of a child overseas isn't a criminal offence in the UK. Despite my concerns, the subsequent 'Leave to Remove' application for Ivy to grow up in NZ was approved.

Following her first 'Daddy sleepover holiday' back in the UK, the postcards that I have been sending Ivy each week mysteriously stopped reaching her. Her mother claims that they aren't getting there, despite all of the ones sent Feb-July having arrived, and given to Ivy. Ivy keeps the ones she has been given in a photo album.

Going forward, this will be a public record of each postcard I send her.

I can't guarantee that she'll receive them, as that is outside of my control.

I will continue to send them.

I will continue to demonstrate through my actions the love I have for my daughter. Whilst we are apart for now, my love for her can never be taken away. She knows that I always have her in my heart.

NB - the address details on the postcards are obscured for the privacy of Ivy's NZ family.

Update: Mother now claims that the delivery is erratic despite confirmation from NZ Post that the cards are delivered each week. All the cards do eventually get given to Ivy.
