Ivy's Mum emailed this earlier:
We have got another two postcards this week, so I think we are all caught up now to 8th Sept. The postie mentioned that there had been an international complaint laid about the speed of delivery of postcards to our address? She was really nice, she apologised but said that they are delivered as soon as she receives them. I don't think it's been too bad, at worst they were arriving 2 weeks after the date on the cards.
Contradicting prior statements, but that's completely normal. Honesty isn't something I expect now from Ivy's mother.
